Gemini Notebook Enterprise URLs change: go/ added to path, lm removed from hostname
Gemini Notebook Enterprise: Updated web addresses
The URL path for the Gemini Notebook Enterprise web app is changing in two ways. In both cases, existing links redirect automatically.
"go/" added: Starting immediately, go/ is being added to the URL path:
For Gemini Notebook Enterprise,
notebooklm.cloud.google.com/us/
changes to
notebooklm.cloud.google.com/go/us/.For Gemini Notebook within Gemini Enterprise,
vertexaisearch.cloud.google.com/notebooklm/global/
changes to
vertexaisearch.cloud.google.com/notebooklm/go/global/.
The dates for this go/ path change are as follows:
global and us
Live
eu
Rolling out
All other locations
Starting November 9, 2026
"lm" removed: Starting November 16, 2026, lm is being removed from the
hostname:
For Gemini Notebook Enterprise authenticated with Google Identity,
notebooklm.cloud.google.com
changes to
notebook.cloud.google.com.For Gemini Notebook Enterprise authenticated with Workforce Identity Federation,
notebooklm.cloud.google
changes to
notebook.cloud.google.
Action is required: if your organization uses a firewall, proxy, or secure web gateway that allows access to Gemini Notebook by a specific URL path. If this applies to you, Google recommends that you add the following URLs to your allowlist:
Allowlist
notebooklm.cloud.google.com/*andnotebook.cloud.google.com/*If you use Workforce Identity Federation, allowlist
notebooklm.cloud.google/*andnotebook.cloud.google/*If you use Gemini Notebook within Gemini Enterprise, allowlist
vertexaisearch.cloud.google.com/notebooklm/*.
Google recommends allowing entire domains (/*) so that future path changes
don't require additional updates.
If you don't allow /*, you must allow both /REGION and /go/REGION, where
REGION is your location value:
global, us, eu, asia-northeast1, au, ca, de, europe-west2,
in, kr, or sg. For example, notebooklm.cloud.google.com/us/ and
notebooklm.cloud.google.com/go/us/
Temporary workaround: If your firewall blocks users before you update
your allowlist, users themselves can access the original URLs by removing
/go from the URL and adding version=legacy. For example:
notebooklm.cloud.google.com/eu/?project=1234567&version=legacy.
This fix will fail when Google sunsets the legacy version.
