Agent Platform adds dedicated Memory Bank page and memory controls in console

Dedicated Memory Bank functionality in the Google Cloud console

You can create, configure, and inspect Agent Platform Memory Bank instances from the dedicated Memory Bank page in the Google Cloud console, with updated memory management controls for deployed agents in Agent Runtime:

  • Memory Bank list and creation: View and manage standalone memory banks on the Memory Bank page (separate from deployed agents on the Deployments page), edit basic information or labels, delete instances, and click Create memory bank to create an instance with default memory settings and Google-managed or Cloud KMS encryption.
  • Memories inspection and filtering: On the Memories tab, switch between Unstructured and Structured views, filter memories by key:value scope pairs or scope chips, edit or delete unstructured memories, inspect structured memory profiles and underlying facts in the Memory details panel, and select View revisions to inspect revision history.
  • Instance and schema configuration: On the Configuration tab, view and edit Details, Generation (memory extraction toggle, perspective, and managed or custom topics), Retrieval (embedding model, configurable before you store the first memory), and Retention (expiration and revision history TTL), or click Schemas to add and edit profile schemas.
  • Agent integration snippets: Click Link to an agent to get installation commands and prefilled Python code (populated with your project, region, and memory bank ID) for connecting with Agent Development Kit (ADK) or retrieving memories.
  • Agent Runtime memory updates: On the Deployments page, deployed agents include key:value scope filtering and View revisions on the Memories tab, along with Generation, Retrieval, and Retention configuration controls under Service configuration in the Memory bank section.
