Database Migration Service supports SQL Server DAG migrations, generally available
Database Migration Service for homogeneous SQL Server migrations now supports Distributed Availability Group (DAG) migrations in general availability (GA).
With DAG migrations, you can use gcloud CLI and Database Migration Service API to migrate databases from self-managed SQL Server Enterprise Edition instances directly to Cloud SQL for SQL Server over a private network connection. DAG migrations don't require exporting backup or transaction log files to Cloud Storage, and support post-promotion reverse replication for zero-data-loss failback.
For more information, see About Distributed Availability Group (DAG) migrations and Migrate from self-managed SQL Server using Distributed Availability Groups.
