Generally Available: Azure Cosmos DB fleet pools

Now you can more easily operate your Azure Cosmos DB accounts at scale. Azure Cosmos DB fleet pools give you new capabilities when building multitenant software as a service (SaaS) applications. 

 

You can simplify capacity management by creating a pool of throughput (RU/s) that can be shared by accounts in the fleet. You get all the security and performance isolation benefits of creating one Azure Cosmos DB account to represent a tenant or end customer, while also efficiently sharing RU/s resources across tenants to avoid overprovisioning at the per-tenant level. Throughput pooling is now generally available.
