Public Preview: Flatcar Container Linux for AKS

Maintaining consistent and secure node configurations in Kubernetes environments can be challenging due to issues like configuration drift, manual changes, and complex upgrade paths. These challenges often lead to unpredictable behavior and increased operational overhead. 

Azure Kubernetes Service now supports Flatcar Container Linux in public preview. Flatcar is built on an immutable filesystem, which helps ensure predictable node behavior by preventing unauthorized changes and simplifying recovery from security incidents. As a Cloud Native Compute Foundation (CNCF) project, Flatcar also supports cross-cloud deployment, making it a strong choice for organizations seeking enhanced security and operational efficiency across diverse environments.
