Retirement: Support for Application Insights Status Monitor v1 will End on March 31, 2025

Status Monitor v1 will be retired on March 31, 2025. Product usage telemetry shows that there are no customers currently using this product. However, the Microsoft Software Installer (msi) for this agent is still publicly available for download. If you have a legacy script that downloads this msi, then this script may fail when the product is retired.  

Status Monitor v1 is being retired because it was replaced by Application Insights Agent (formerly named Status Monitor v2) in 2019. Customers seeking auto-instrumentation for .NET workloads on-premises servers should use Application Insights Agent.  

Recommended Action  

If you have used this product in the past, ensure that you remove any code that downloads the ApplicationInsightsAgent.msi installer.
